Suncrest PAC has a dedicated fund for playground improvements, and we would to form a Playground Committee to help us determine how to best use this money to give our playgrounds a bit of a boost!

The next PAC general meeting is set for Oct. 19 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Suncrest.
Suncrest PAC exec receives dozens of offers for fundraising opportunities throughout the year, so why not throw them up here for everyone to take a peek at?
Here are a few projects that are up for grabs if you are interested in coordinating; if anything tickles your fancy, please email robynstubbs@gmail.com for more details! FUNDRAISE WITH FLORISSA - Flower Bulbs This bulb fundraiser offers a good selection of bulbs, with free shipping and 50 per cent profit to PAC. World's FInest Chocolate: Peanut-, Tree Nut- and Gluten-Free Chocolate Options You may be familiar with this company through other extra-curricular fundraisers - they sell boxes of the chocolates by the case, with a 55 per cent profit margin on each case sold. ** Suncrest has used Purdy's around the winter break and we plan to do so again this year. Perhaps this would be a good option around the Easter holiday. Western Direct Fundraising: Homestyle Pies, Baking and Artisan Breads Pies ... Yum! This company sells frozen pies, cookies, pizzas, cookies and more, with a suggested selling price per item - PAC would probably make $3 to $5 per item. Hello new and returning Suncrest parents and guardians! We hope you all had a restful summer vacation with your family.
Just a few housekeeping notes from PAC about the year to come: Our first PAC General Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 21 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the school. The school's RCMP liaison has kindly offered to attend this meeting (barring any unforeseen emergency) to discuss school safety strategies and crossing guard duties in front of the school. This is a great opportunity to meet this year's new PAC exec, and maybe, possibly consider filling in the vacant Secretary and D-PAC spots! But no pressure. The PAC is trying out a new Fun Lunch program this year, through MunchaLunch.com. All orders and payments will be made online, which means less volunteer hours for us parents! We do still need a few hands on deck to help deliver lunches to the classrooms ... which brings me to my next point: Volunteer sign-ups for each PAC event (including Fun Lunch classroom delivery) will be done online this year, through the same website as the hot lunches. All the information you need to sign up for a volunteer position or order/pay for hot lunches will be sent out through the school shortly. We will also post information here in the coming weeks. Save the Date! This year's Fall Carnival takes place after school on Thursday, September 29 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Happy September, everyone! |
