Suncrest PAC met for the final meeting of the current school year on May 17 - you can find minutes online here soon.
In summary: Topics included a vote to add one more projector to the intermediate wing, discussion on two new divisions being added to the school and where those classes will be accommodated, and the presentation of the preliminary 2017-18 budget. The current Chair was re-elected for a second (and final!) year, and Ashley Sandquist is returning as DPAC. The Secretary and Treasurer positions remain open.
In other exciting news: Suncrest is trying out a new company for our Hot Lunches next year: Welcome to FUEL Catering, a local company serving homemade food in a nut-free facility. Their menu meets all the guidelines outlined by the provincial government for healthy schools. You can find more information about their menu here. We are planning for one FUEL Hot Lunch per month, and will need volunteers to help distribute lunches. Please note we are changing Hot Lunch Days to Tuesdays next year, so we can better coordinate with the school's recycling and compost pick-up.
The first PAC meeting of the 2017-18 year will happen towards to the end of September - we are waiting to liaise with the incoming principal to set a firm date.

Several important updates and items will be presented in preparation for the upcoming 2017-18 school year, as well as elections for next year’s PAC Executive. All positions are open - consider nominating yourself! Nomination forms are located at the school office and will be accepted up to the time of the vote.
